In 2015 lets keep in mind some of the neurological diseases that are still highly prevalent in our lifetime.
Stroke
Currently stands as the 4th cause of death in the U.S; 800,000 people have a stroke in a year.Attention Deficit /Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
As of 2011, 6.4 million children ages 4-17 have been diagnosed.
PTSD
5.2 million people in the U.S have it; about 51.2% of women are affected and about 60.7% men.Alzheimer's
2013 reports show that roughly 5 million Americans have it.Epilepsy
Approximately 2.3 million adults are currently living with it.
Parkinson's disease (PD)
Approximately 1 million people are living with PD in the U.S; 60,000 new diagnosis occur every year.
Traumatic Brain injury (TBI)
823.6 cases for every 100,000 people (2010 census) are currently affected.Spinal Cord Injury
There are 906 cases per 1 million people.
