Hello 2015!

In 2015 lets keep in mind some of the neurological diseases that are still highly prevalent in our lifetime.





Stroke

Currently stands as the 4th cause of death in the U.S; 800,000 people have a stroke in a year.


Attention Deficit /Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

As of 2011, 6.4 million children ages 4-17 have been diagnosed.

PTSD

5.2 million people in the U.S have it; about 51.2% of women are affected and about 60.7% men.


Alzheimer's

2013 reports show that roughly 5 million Americans have it.


Epilepsy

Approximately 2.3 million adults are currently living with it.


Parkinson's disease (PD)

Approximately 1 million people are living with PD in the U.S; 60,000 new diagnosis occur every year.


Traumatic Brain injury (TBI)

823.6 cases for every 100,000 people (2010 census) are currently affected.


Spinal Cord Injury

There are 906 cases per 1 million people.
